Round the Lake Challenge Ride
The way round Sun Moon Lake had been well known as one of the breathtaking cycling routes in the world. Her Chinese painting like scenery and tranquil atmosphere attracts visitors all around the world. The route of round the lake is about 30 KM with bit of challenging up and downs, you will see four grand temples and ride into the scenery along the way, this event is a perfect one for biking lovers to go around the Sun Moon Lake!

7. Route: Xiangshan Visitor Center → No.21 Highway → Shuishe → Jiolongko → No. 21A Highay → Wenwu Temple → Cable Car Station → Idashao → Xuanguan Temple → Toushe →No.21 Highway → Xiangshan Visitor Center, about 30 km.
8. Feed Zone: Xuanguan Temple parking lot (at 18.7 km)
9. Eligibility: All riders over the age of 15 are welcomed to attend this event. Entry limit: 1000 riders.
10. Category:
M16: 16 ~ 19 years old (2000-2003)
M20: 20 ~ 29 years old (1990-1999)
M30: 30 ~ 39 years old (1980-1989)
M40: 40 ~ 49 years old (1970-1979)
M50: 50 years old and above (born before 1969)
Women: 16 years old and above (born before 2003) group.
11. Entry fee: 500 NTD per person. Entry fee cover the number information, meal ticket, lottery ticket, feed zone supply, finish medal, finish E-certificate, event T-shirt, souvenir cycling bandana and insurance fee.
12. Timing Chip Deposit: NT1000 per chip if lost.
  Every entry: NT 1000, deposit at check-in before the race, and refund after the event.
13. Entry:
(1) On-line entry only. The entry website: http://www.cyclist.org.tw/
(2) Deadline: The entry will be closed on Sep. 30, 2019 or closed when quota is full. The attendee list will be announced on Oct. 4th on TCF website.
(3) Please copy the entry receipt information as the check in proof.
(4) Entry information must be correctly provided to avoid unnecessary problems.
14. Award:
(1) Riders finish riding within the time limit will be awarded with finish medal and certificate (down loaded on line).
(2) Japanese timing system (J-Chip) is adapted in the event, the finish certificate will include rider’s own finishing time, and the certificate will be available for download at the on-line registry website.
15. Notice:
(1) I am attending the challenge cycling event organized by Taiwan Cyclist Federation of my own free will.
(2) I have read and understand the details of the information and notices offered by organizer of this challenge cycling event with no comment.
(3) There is a certain degree of difficulty involved with this cycling event. Attendee should consider the risk of riding this event and evaluate his/her own health condition to decide if entry is appropriate. Any rider with any health issues, or history of health issues such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, heart disease, diabetes, epilepsy and asthma, is not allowed to participate in this cycling race/event. The event organizer will not be responsible for any accident caused by these health issues.
(4) The Organizer has the right to terminate or pause the event if there is deemed to be any risk to the rider’s health and/or route safety. Riders and any other attendees must abide by this decision.
(5) All riders must ride standard road bike or flat bar road bike fitted with a full braking system front and rear. Jerseys cannot be sleeveless. Cycling helmets are mandatory.
(6) Riders must ride on the right side of road at ALL time. Riding against the flow of traffic on the left side is prohibited and any accident caused by riding on the left side of the road is rider’s responsibility, also will immediate disqualified by organizer.
(7) This is NOT a competitive event and there will be NO traffic control. Please ride according to the traffic regulations for your own safety.
(8) All riders are responsible for the effective and safe working condition of their bicycles. Any rider on a bicycle deemed unsafe by the organizer will not be allowed to start the event.
(9) Riders should carry their health insurance card during the event. If any rider crashed and injured when riding, please seek medical care immediately and keep the receipt and diagnosis certificate for latter insurance claims.
(10) Participants will be covered with the Travel Insurance (Insured Amount: NTD 2 million per person) (click here) and the Public Liability Insurance (Insured Amount: NTD 5 million per person). The “Public Liability Insurance” which is for accident payments caused by organizer responsibility only. That means, based on the law, the insurance only covers the race or event accident payments that is caused by the organizer's liability. Please refer to the event insurance policy website (click here) of “Public Liability Insurance” for the coverage details of the event insurance. The organizer is only responsible for the indemnity amount with the maximum price per person as the insurance policies offers. Do not register for the event if you do not agree with the coverage, items, and indemnity amount of insurance policy. Any personal health issues during the event or any riding injury caused by a personal health problem will not be included in the insurance. Riders that have personal health problems should not attend this event.
(11) According to the Insurance Law, riders under 15 years old would not be compensated with death indemnity under Life or Injury Insurance policy.
(12) All entry information provided by the rider must be correct. The rider is responsible for all results caused by incorrect registration information.
(13) If the weather on the event day is bad, the organizer will announce the new event policy before the riding started. For example, the organizer may cut short the riding time limit or shorten the riding distance…etc.
(14) In case of extreme weather conditions or a local government suspension of traffic on the event route, the Organizer retains the right to delay, to terminate or to postpone the event, change the time limit of check point, to alter the route at any time. In the event of such cases, all information will be forthcoming at the appropriate time.
(15) The Organizer has the right to publish or share all event-related videos, photos, event results on media, internet, galleries etc. Attendee and riders must agree to the right of the Organizer to use all materials for promotion.
(16) Cherishing the natural environment, riders are forbidden to litter all the way of riding route. Anyone doing so will be immediately disqualified from the event.
