Join us to combat the "three hazards of Internet health"!
2019 Firefox Charity Run Brochure

Mozilla is a global nonprofit dedicated to keeping the Internet a global public resource that is open and accessible to all. We strive to ensure that the Internet is developed in a way that benefits everyone. We are best known for creating the Mozilla Firefox web browser.

There has been frequent negative news in the cyber world in recent years. Our online activity is being tracked and monitored by companies. Social media and messaging apps are filled with fake news... High privacy risksmonopoly of information, and misleading/fake information are the three biggest hazards to Internet health, but few are aware of their risks and dangers.

The future of the Internet is yours to defend. Registration for Firefox Charity Run starts today! For every participant who completes the 3 km or 10 km event within the specified time, we will make a donation to Taiwan Care Charity Foundation, so that every participant can contribute up to NT$30 to improving Internet health. In addition, we also welcome the runners who participate in the 21km event to challenge themselves and support the charity. Let us jointly work towards a better future for the Internet!

(1) Race to combat the three hazards of Internet health (Applicable to the 3 km and 10 km race events)
All rise to combat the three hazards of Internet health! Firefox will send Mr. Fox to participate in the event. Mr. Fox becomes stronger when more runners participate in the race, as he transforms into a Fox Warrior on the day of the race to lead runners away from the three hazards of Internet health. Three pacers will be arranged for the 3 km and 10 km race events to lead the way. Each pacer represents a different speed range. When a runner passes the first pacer and completes the race within the time limit, it represents combating the first hazard of Internet health: "high privacy risk"; passing the second pacer and completing the race within the time limit represents combating the second hazard of Internet health: "monopoly of information"; passing the third pacer and completing the race within the time limit represents combating the third hazard of Internet health: "misleading/fake information". We donate a higher amount for each pacer that a runner passes, so that every runner can contribute up to NT$30 donated to the Taiwan Care Charity Foundation. Please see the table below for the amount donated:
