1、 Race Information:
 
(1) Supervisor: Taichung City Government.
(2) Organizer: Sports Bureau, Taichung City Government; and Dyaco International Charity Foundation, Taipei City.
(3) Co-sponsor: Industrial Development and Investment Promotion Committee of Taichung City; and Taichung Evergreen, Taichung Municipal Sports Federation.

4、 Awards and Regulations:
 
(1) Overall Award:
 
A. This award will be conferred to the top 10 winners, respectively for each of the men’s and women’s division of the 42k and the 21k marathons. The top 6 winners of each division shall each receive prize money and one trophy. The 7th to the 10th place winners shall each receive one trophy. (The Overall Award recipients will not be additionally awarded for divisional prices.)

B. 9k Brave-foot challenge division: The top 6 winners, respectively for each of the men’s and women’s division, shall each receive one trophy and one set of prize items.
C. Disabled Persons Divisions: In the 42k, 21k, and 9k divisions, the top 3 winners of each respective division shall each receive one trophy.
(2) Divisional Awards:
  The number of award recipients for both the full marathon and the half marathon is dependent on the total number of the registered runners. The top 1 winner will be awarded if there are less than 20 runners; the top 2 winners will be awarded if the total falls between 20-100 runners; the top 3 winners will be awarded if the total falls between 101-300; the top 4 winners will be awarded if the total falls between 301-499; the top 5 winners will be awarded if there are 500 or more runners. The number of awards will be announced on the official website after the registration deadline. Each winner will be awarded one trophy.
(3) First Time Award:
  To encourage first-time runners who have completed the 42k full marathon course, one First Time Award memorial trophy will be conferred.
A. Requirements: First-time runners.
B. Procedures:
In order to qualify, first-time runners must register online and check the option to participate for the first time.
 
(A) Only 500 awards are available, determined by the order of registration. Registration is considered completed upon payment submission. Due to limited availability, the award is first-come, first-served.
(B) To prevent abuse or disputes on the eligibility of the First Time Award, and to ensure that first-timers are rightfully awarded, an additional fee of NT$600 will be charged for those who register as first-time participants.
C. Check-in items:
Upon check-in, runners will receive one First Time sticker. The sticker can be applied to your clothing. Allow cheerleaders to root for you on the course!
(4) 21k Marathon Team Award :
 
A. Requirements:
 
(A) The top 10 time records within every team will be averaged. By default, the maximum number of runners per team can go up to 12 people. However, teams that consist of 10 or more runners are eligible to compete for the award. Two women must be included within the calculation of team time record.
(B) Each runner can only participate in one team. Runners who register for multiple teams will be disqualified.
B. Registration procedures: each team must register online and check the option for 21k half marathon team division.
C. Regulations:
 
(A) Each team is free to select its own members. Team time record is determined by the average of its members’ top 10 time records. Two women must be included within the calculation of team time record.
(B) Teams will be disqualified if any of the following circumstances occur: 1. If there are less than 10 finishers, or 2. If less than 10 members successfully clock-in with their chips, or 3. If there are less than 2 women per team.
(C) Time records accounted into team time records cannot be treated as personal time record. Once registered as a team runner, a runner cannot change his or her status into an individual runner.
(D) Once registered as a team runner, team time records also cannot be used to change individual rankings.
(E) The same rules and stipulations apply to team races as they do to individual divisions. If fraudulent activities are found (such as impersonation or having a stand-in runner), the runner will be disqualified, publicized and banned from future registrations.

(5) Award for 9K Men and Women Duo Teams’ Race
 
A. Requirements:
 
(A) Each team must consist of one man and one woman.
(B) Each runner can only participate in one team. Runners who register for multiple teams will be disqualified.
B. Registration procedures: each team must register online and check the option for 9K Men and Women Duo Teams’ Race. Once registered as a team runner, a runner cannot change his or her status into an individual runner.
C. Regulations:
 
(A) Team scores will be determined by the sum of both finishers’ time records. The top 3 teams will be awarded.
(B) Time records accounted into team time records cannot be treated as personal time record.
(C) Personal time records cannot be refreshed using the time record achieved in a 9K Men and Women Duo Teams’ Race.
D. Rewards:

(6) Procedures to claim a prize :
 
A. According to the Income Tax Act of the Republic of China, any prize money or prize items valued at NT$20000 or above must be taxed at the following rate: 1. Ten percent (10%) will be applied to winners with valid domestic residency. 2. Twenty percent (20%) will be applied to winners without valid domestic residency. Regardless of the value of the prizes, there are no limits on the tax amount.
B. Procedures to claim a prize: For security purposes, the Organizer will only remit prize money via bank wires. Winners should go the Organizer’s Award Committee in person according to the schedule of the event booklet. Please bring your time record certificate, race bib, ID (passport for non-citizens of the R.O.C.), bank account number, and the award envelope that you receive during the award ceremony. Procedures must be completed by 12:00 on the race day to ensure successful bank wire, otherwise any incomplete procedures will result in forfeiture of the prizes.
C. Procedures to claim the Overall Awards:
 
(A) The Overall Awards will be conferred respectively to the following divisions: 42k Full Marathon; 21K Half Marathon; 9K Brave-foot Challenge; Disabled Persons divisions for 42K, 21K, and 9K marathons; 21k Marathon Team division; and 9K Men and Women Duo Teams’ Race .
(B) Winners should go the Organizer’s Award Committee in person according to the schedule to be announced through the public announcement intercom. Ceremony will take place on stage and prize claim will follow. Winners should bring time record certificates, ID (passport for non-citizens of the R.O.C.), and race bib.
(C) Procedure for claiming the 21k Marathon Team Award: When claiming the prize at the Award Committee, winners should provide team members’ addresses and preferred sizes for compression tights. The compression tights will be mailed.
D. Procedures for Divisional Awards (42K Full Marathon, 21K Half Marathon), and First Time Award:
  After the announcement of time records, winners should bring their time record certificates, ID (passport for non-citizens of the R.O.C.), and race bib. Please go to the Award Committee in person to claim the memorial trophy.
5、 Registration Procedures:
 
(1) Registration time frame: From 14:00, June 3rd, 2017 to 14:00, August 15th, 2017. Registration system will be closed once the quota is full.
(2) Registration platforms: Online registration is available through the E-better system on bao-ming.com. In-person registration is available at all RUNNERS store branches in Taiwan, and authorized distributors in Taiwan.
(3) Online Registration:
 
A. Please fill in all required information on bao-ming.com to ensure that further registration information will be correctly delivered to you.
B. Payment method: Please go to 7-11 branches in Taiwan and pay through ibon machines.
C. How to use ibon to pay:
 
D. After registration and payment submission, please check the E-better website for payment status to ensure that you have registered successfully.
E. Prior to registration, please evaluate your physical condition carefully. Once the registration and payment have been formally processed, requests for name changes or division changes will not be honored. For cancellation and refund, please refer to our registration policy.
F. Please complete payments within 3 days of registration. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. The Organizer holds discretion in determining participation eligibility. To make up for incomplete payments, or for any questions about the registration system, please call the E-better system by dialing 02-2951-6969 (Office hours: Taiwan local time, 09:00~18:00, Monday to Friday.) You may receive a new payment code (or order number thereof) without consequent registration attempts.
G. Please make sure to check the options for the First Time Award, the 21k Marathon Team Award, and the 9K Men and Women Duo Teams’ Race if you wish to be eligible for any of these awards. After registration, changes cannot be honored.
(4) In-person registration:
 
A. Please go to any RUNNERS store branches in Taiwan, or any authorized distributors in Taiwan during normal business hours for inquiries and registration.
B. Promotion: 10% off all registration fees.
C. Once the registration procedures are completed in RUNNERS, payments can be made by credit cards in these stores or by 7-11 ibon machines.

F. Registration procedures for disabled persons:
 
(A) Promotion: all disabled persons (with a quota of 100 in each division, including 42k, 21k, 9k, 3k divisions) may receive 10% discount.
(B) Registration procedures:
 
a Please provide a proof of disability as you register. Please fax the proof to 04-2241-1051 or email dyaco2017@gmail.com, attention to: Dyaco International Taichung Marathon Coordination Team.
b. Upon approval, you will receive one payment code (or order number thereof) and one promotional code. Please register the promotional code through bao-ming.com, and complete payment through ibon in 7-11 stores.
c. Information of guides: information of guides must be entered and submitted on the registration form.
d. Guides will be provided one race bib upon completion of registration. However, guides will not be ranked nor considered competing athletes in any division.
e. Guides and disabled runners must prepare necessary protective gears or any personal items on their own. Please take extra caution towards safety and physical conditions during races.
f. Due to safety concerns and the inherent difficulties of our courses this year, hand bikes cannot be incorporated in divisions for disabled persons. Thank you for your understanding.
G. Group registrations and promotion for “Maximum capacity” groups
To especially encourage healthy exercises among the common public, family and friends, we will offer one customized event flag for group registrations exceeding 50 people. The “maximum capacity” group, which is the group with the most entrants in one registration (this group must contain 150 or more people), will also be awarded one treadmill below NT$20000 value on stage on the day of the race. We will separately handle the delivery of the treadmill and notify the qualifying group.
6、 Rules and Regulations:
 
(1) Preparation before registration:
 
A. A parental consent form is required for: 1. Runners aged 18 or under who are registering for the 42k Marathon division or the 21k Marathon division. 2. Runners aged 12 or under who are registering for the 9K Brave-foot Challenge division or the 3K Costume division. Please download this form online and fax to 04-2241-1051 or email dyaco2017@gmail.com. Failure to submit this form will result in disqualification during registration.
B. Please fill out personal information truthfully on the registration form. The Organizer will not be responsible for runners who are absent in the race, nor any loss of check-in items due to inaccuracies on the registration form.
(2) Changes for souvenir sizes or other personal information
 
A. Those who do not specify clothing sizes on the registration form will receive L sized apparel. In the case where certain sizes are out of stock, the Organizer holds the discretion to distribute different sizes.

C. Before the registration deadline, runners can log into the E-better system to change information. After the deadline, no changes are allowed.
(3) Cancellation :
 
A. After registration and payment, if runners cannot attend the races, please refer to the following policies for refund:
 
(A) If cancellation is made within 7 days following a submitted registration, runners are eligible for 60% refund of the registration fees. The deposit for the timing chip, the fee for the shuttle bus, and the postal fee will be entirely refunded.
(B) If cancellation is made after the 7-day period following a submitted registration, runners are only eligible for refund of the deposit for the timing chip and the fee for the shuttle bus. The check-in items can still be picked up according the booklet. In this case, the pick-up kit will not include the timing chip and the bib.
(C) Any cancellations will incur a surcharge of NT$100, which will be deducted from your refund.
B. To initiate a refund, please email dyaco2017@gmail.com. The email must contain the runner’s name, ID number (or National Identity Card applicable to citizens of R.O.C.), phone number, and a photocopy or image of your bank account to receive your refund. Once we confirm your personal information, the refund will be issued within one month after the races. Once cancellation requests are received, your registration will be revoked. Please proceed carefully. The deadline for cancellation will be 14:00, July 31st, 2017. Cancellations and refunds will not be available after this deadline, except the refund for the deposit of NT$100 for the chip. The refund will be processed according to the “Instructions for returning your chip” in this booklet.
7、 Services for Athletes:
 
(1) Shuttle bus service
 
A. Application: please indicate your need to reserve the shuttle buses in your registration. A fee of NT$100 for the shuttle bus shall be due as you pay for your registration fee.
B. Shuttle bus badge: one badge will be included in your check-in kit. This badge is required to be shown to personnel to board. Boarding is not allowed if the badge is lost.
C. Pick-up locations: United Bus Company Ltd. Zhong Gang Transfer Station, Ho-Hsin Bus Traffic Company Ltd. Chao Ma Transfer Station, and Taichung Station.

(2) Storage services
 
A. Terms and conditions:
 
(A) Runners registered for the 42k, 21k, and 9k marathons may utilize storage services. This service is not available for 3k runners.
(B) The storage service aims to provide spaces to store clothing. Please pack lightly and take note of the security of your items. It is recommended to safeguard expensive items, fragile items, and electronics yourself. We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
(C) Runners may deposit luggage in the storage. Staff will distribute stickers. The stickers come in two sections. One shall be applied on the luggage and the other on the race bib. Please ensure the sticker is kept throughout the race in order to use it to retrieve your items.
(D) Service availability: the Organizer will start accepting storage items at 4:30, November 5th (Sunday). The service ends at 12:30. Please retrieve your items before 12:30 or items shall be treated as lost.
(E) Prohibited items: liquids or food that may spill or leak easily from containers; living animals (eg. Dogs or cats); dangerous objects (eg. Lighters or fireworks.)
B. Special notice:
 
(A) Storage is not available for unregistered runners or visitors. To reduce waiting time, it is recommended for one person to help retrieve items for multiple runners.
(B) It is expected to be crowded on the race day. Early deposit ensures that runners can attend the race on time.
(3) Application for teams – method to obtain tents for groups to rest
After the registration deadline, the Organizer will rank teams based on the number of people per registration. In descending order, the teams with the largest number of people will be eligible to apply for tents. We will also provide a billboard for said teams. The tents have limited availability. The Organizer will publish more information after the registration deadline.
8、 Rules for Picking up Check-in items:
 
(1) Mail-in check-in
 
A. For runners who choose to check-in by mail, the Organizer will deliver the check-in kit 10-15 days before the race. In order to avoid any delays or mistakes, please fill in your address correctly.
B. Postal fees for check-in are due at registration (fees shown as chart below.) Once the payment is made, changes in address or delivery method cannot be honored.
C. Delivery for team registrations must have one designated address as indicated on the registration form. Separate deliveries are not available. Please refer to “Rules for Picking Up Check-in Items” for fees.

E. The Organizer will not make additional deliveries due to incomplete addresses, or if the recipient is not available at the address. Please confirm delivery status with the Organizer until 18:00, October 27th, 2017, otherwise your package will be forfeited. The Organizer will not keep undelivered items.
F. Mail-in check-in is available only within Taiwan. If the recipient is not available at the address upon delivery, the Organizer will not attempt to make additional deliveries.
G. Once delivered, please ensure the race bib is in your possession. The Organizer will not give out additional bibs if lost. Runners without bibs will be disqualified from the race.
(2) In-person check-in:
 
A. Paystub for print: starting 14:00, October 2nd, 2017, the paystub will be available online to print for in-person check-ins.
B. For pickup, please present the paystub at Dyaco Taichung Service office (8F., No.158, Sec. 1, Sanmin Rd., West Dist., Taichung City 403, Industrial Development and Investment Promotion Committee of Taichung City.) Hours of operation: 09:00-15:00, October 14th-15th, 2017 (Saturday and Sunday.)
C. To prevent disputes, pickup is not available if the paystub or an ID is not present.
D. If items are not picked up within this timeframe, the items and the eligibility to attend the race will be forfeited. The referee holds the right to terminate eligibility for runners without bibs.
E. Once picked up, please ensure the race bib is in your possession. The Organizer will not give out additional bibs if lost. Runners without bibs will be disqualified from the race.

Once registration payment is complete, additional items are available for runners who registered in special divisions or had indicated the need for special items.
First Time Award runners will receive a First Time sticker. Those who reserved a shuttle will receive a shuttle badge. Disabled runners will receive additional bibs for guides.
※Check-in items and post-race items must be picked-up within designated times. The Organizer will not distribute the items after designated timeframe.
9. Timing Chip Instructions:
 
(1) Clock-in:
 
A. Chips will time runners in 42K, 21K, and 9K divisions (runners in 3K divisions are not timed or competing). Please carefully read the instruction for chip usage. Chips serve as the basis for timing. Please fastened your chip properly and make sure that you step on the chip timing mats along the course. The Organizer will not be responsible for any mishandling of chips, should it result in erroneous timing.
B. Chip records will serve as the final basis for the competition. Results will be announced only by the Organizer.
C. According to Rule 165.24 of the International Association Athletics Federations (IAAF), the gun time will serve as the staring time. Therefore, the Organizer will record the gun time as the starting time. The scoring of the runners’ records will be based on this gun time.
D. Chips will time all runners in 42K, 21K, and 9K divisions. Exchange of chips, wearing another runner’s chips, and wearing 2 or more chips are strictly forbidden. Violation will result in disqualification. Records will be forfeited.
(2) Chip timing mat checkpoints :
The “2017 Dyaco Taichung International Marathon” provides competing runners timing chips. All runners must follow the course arranged by the Organizer and start at the designated starting place. The chips will record time as runners pass through timing mats at the starting and finish line. Please make sure that you pass through every mat along the route. If a record is missing from any one of the checkpoints, the Organizer cannot account your score into your record, nor able to provide a record certification.
(3) Chip usage instructions:
   
 
A. Runners should attach the chip tightly on the shoelace of their right foot. Tie the chip close to the toes (shown in the image above.)
B. Runners are required to start by passing through the timing mat at the starting points, all mats along the course, as well as the mats at the finish line. Runners who do not pass through all mats will be regarded as unfinished.
C. If the chip is not attached as instructed, runners are responsible for inaccurate timing. At the finish line, the Organizer will score based on chip records. The ranking for the awards will be based on the gun time as starting time.
(4) Instructions for returning your chip:
 
A. After passing the finish line, please go to the printing area to get your certificate, or log in online to print 5 days after the race.
B. Please return the chip at the Chip Return Area. The NT$100 deposit will be returned to you here.
C. For runners using the shuttle bus on the way back: the referee will place a stamp. Runners shall also return the chip to the Chip Return Area and have the NT$100 deposit returned to you.
10. Violations:
 
(1) Violations:
 
A. Runners will be disqualified for the following violations:
 
(A) Not following referee guidance.
(B) Not securing the race bib on the chest area of your shirt with a safety pin.
(C) Carrying pets or baby strollers; using roller blades, skateboard, or scooters.
(D) Disruption towards other runners, or taking photos on the course that concerns the safety and rights of other runners.
B. Runners will be disqualified, and have their names announced on the official website for the following violations:
 
(A) Receiving assistance from another person or party during the competition (eg. riding a car, supported by other people, etc.)
(B) Runners must carry their ID throughout the entire race. Runners will be disqualified if mismatch is found between registration information and their ID.
(C) Runners who violate sportsmanship (eg. causing disturbances, or verbally attacking the referee and staff, etc.).
(D) Stand-in runners, runners who use stand-in runners, and runners with two or more chips will be considered violating the rights of other competitors. Once verified to be true, the referee will disqualify violators from the race and ban them from participating in any of the Organizer’s event for one year. Time record will be voided and no certifications will be conferred. The violators’ names will also be announced on the official website.
(E) Please assemble and start according to the schedule time. The Organizer will disqualify and not provide time records to those who start earlier than scheduled time.
11. Disputes:
 
(1) Disputes during the race: Runners cannot dispute referee judgments on the course. Any arguments based on the international track and field rules will be settled by the referee’s judgment.
(2) Dispute procedure: Any dispute concerning the races should be brought to the Organizer 30 minutes before the final scores of the divisions are announced. A deposit of NT$3,000 must be submitted with the dispute. If the referees of the review committee deem the dispute unjustifiable, the NT$3,000 deposit will not be returned. It will be contributed as event fund.
12. Safety Guidelines:
 
(1) Safety terms and conditions:
 
A. Upon submission of registration, runners agree to the regulations and rules of the race. Runners may not oppose rules and regulations published in this guideline.
B. To ensure the safety of all participants, the Organizer may cancel, reschedule, or change course routes in events beyond reasonable control, such as Acts of God. Disputes will not be accepted in these events. If cancellation shall occur, the Organizer will return 50% of the registration fee to registered runners. (A surcharge of NT$30 will be applied for bank wiring fees.)
C. Safety is the utmost priority. Referees and doctors have the right to stop any runners from competing due to physical conditions. Disputes will not be accepted if the Organizer cites safety as the reason.
D. If accidents arise, runners must seek physician attention first hand. If runners experience discomfort, please report to staff or accompanying persons immediately. The Organizer dispatches emergency medical services along the course, which include ambulance and shuttle buses to accommodate runners in need. If emergency medical personnel deems a runner unfit for the race, the runner must forfeit the competition and be brought to care.
E. Runners must carefully evaluate their physical conditions. Do not register if you have heart diseases, cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, etc. The Organizer will not be responsible for runners concealing such conditions.
F. Runners must carefully evaluate their physical conditions. Do not push and shove. Please uphold sportsmanship and be willing to give way to priority runners on the course to prevent obstruction or overly-crowded situations that may pose risks to safety.
G. Please use the shuttle bus for runners who do not finish in time. Due to safety concerns, the Organizer may utilize police force towards runners who are unwilling to take the shuttle. If uncooperative behavior persists, it will be compulsory to relocate the runner with shuttle buses and the runner will be disqualified.
H. To ensure physical condition and safety, runners less than 12 years old must attend the race with a competent adult. Please wear protective gear to avoid collisions or injury.
I. Depending on the traffic flow, the Organizer may redirect vehicles to cross the course route. Runner should follow the instructions of referee and police officers. Please proceed according to traffic cones. Do not pass over the traffic cones unless directed. Violators against the police and the staff will be disqualified.
J. Persons without race bibs shall not enter the race course or use aid stations. To ensure the quality of the race and rights of the registered runners, the race routes and the aid stations have been approved for this event.
K. Stand-in runners are not allowed according to our regulations. In the case of accident, stand-in runners may not receive insurance coverage and may be held legally accountable.
L. Exercise is important to be healthy. Please evaluate physical conditions carefully. To avoid discomfort, please get sufficient sleep before the race day and consume breakfast 2 hours before the race.
M. If accidents shall occur during the race, please report to the Organizer and submit your contact info. Please prepare diagnosis, receipts or related documents so the Organizer can assist you to apply for insurance compensation.
(2) Notes for Public Accidental Insurance:
 
A. The Organizer only supplies emergency medical care. The public accidental insurance does not cover individual illness or existing conditions, and only compensates for injuries from accidents during the event. The public accidental insurance policy for runners is as follows:
 
(A) NT$5,000,000 for every runner’s bodily injury liability insurance.
(B) NT$150,000,000 for every runner’s accidental bodily injury liability insurance.
(C) NT$ 2,000,000 for every runner’s property loss liability insurance.
(D) The maximum compensation for this policy is NT$ 304,000,000 within its compensation period.
Please refer to the insurance company contract for more details.
B. Coverage of the Public Accidental Insurance:
 
(A) Insured parties: officially registered VIP, Organizer staff members, volunteers, runners and products used at the event are eligible for insurance in the case of accidents.
(B) Insured parties are eligible to claim compensation for 3rd party bodily injuries, deaths, and property losses within compensation period. Insured parties are legally liable to provide compensation. The Organizer provides such 3rd party insurance for the following scenarios:
(1) The insured party or its employed personnel has an accident on the race course specified on the insurance policy.
(2) The insured party has an accident at the buildings, on the passages, by the machines, or by other working objects on the race course.
(C) Below scenarios are not covered:
(1) Physical injuries stemming from personal illness.
(2) Existing conditions or onset of critical conditions such as cardiovascular related problems, shock, heart attack, diabetes, heat exhaustion, hyperthermia, altitude sickness, seizures, dehydration, etc.
(D) If you have a history containing the health conditions described in this guideline, please carefully consider your safety. It is recommended to purchase your own personal accident insurance.
(E) Organizer’s disclaimer of liability: Supervisors, the Organizer, and the co-sponsor are legally released from any liability for any runner’s claims of injury, property loss, or death. Runner shall not seek compensation in any form from them. Once the registration is submitted, runners agree to all the regulations and rules of the race.
13. Regulations of Personal Information Protection and Image Rights:
  According to the first item of the Personal Information Protection and Image Rights Act, Dyaco International Charity Foundation, Taipei City (Hereinafter referred to as Dyaco), shall declare:
(1) Purpose of collection of personal information: To host “2017 Dyaco Taichung International Marathon” and to manage related insurance matters.
(2) Category of personal information: name, ID number, telephone number, address, ID, email, and so on.
(3) Time period, area, subjects, and usage of personal information:
 
A. Time period: According to the specific purposes for which personal information is stored; or according to related laws or time period noted in contractual agreements; or the period of time necessary for the Organizer to carry out operations.
B. Area: The Organizer, the Organizer’s headquarters, and the locations of the related enterprises to the Organizer.
C. Subject: Dyaco, the Organizer’s headquarter, the Organizer, related enterprises of the Organizer, the Organizer’s banks, the Organizer’s contractors, international recipients of personal information who are not stipulated by the central Competent Authority, institutions with legal rights to investigate personal information, financial auditing institutions, all units liable to pay taxes, collaborating enterprises such as Lotus Marketing Co., Ltd., Rainbow Wing Inc., and so on.
D. Methods: include both automated machines and non-automated methods.
(4) According to the Article 3 of Personal Information Protection Act, you have the rights over the personal information to be stored in our company:
 
A. You can inquire, look up, or ask for copies. However, our company may charge material fees accordingly.
B. You can ask for correction or add information. However, you must have proper reasons.
C. You can ask our company to stop collecting or handling the information, or request to delete the information. However, due to necessary lawful operations of our company, we have the discretion to reject such demands.
D. Consequences of denying disclosure of personal information: you have the freedom to opt out of providing personal information to our company. However, shall the denial results in the inability to process registration, file for insurance, or any related operations, the Organizer will not be responsible for the loss of your participating rights.
E. The Organizer receives your consent of images in related advertisements (including, but not limited to, official websites, Facebook, blogs, and so on.)
F. To honor the Personal Information Protection Act, the Organizer will not disclose names of registered runners on the official website or in the event booklet.
14. Other Notices:
 
(1) The Organizer has rights to invite domestic and international athletes and seed them at the starting line; other participants shall not have any objections.
(2) Scores of 42k, 21k, and 9k races will be determined by chip records. The Organizer’s IT team will publish scores on the website. Any runner found to be using false information or stand-ins (runners should bring ID card for inspection) will be disqualified, and score will be voided. Runners who violate the rule shall not have any objections.
(3) Fifteen minutes of break time is available after the race. After break time, please bring your chip to print record certification.
(4) The finishing record and the record certification will be distributed after the race. These records are also available for printing on the official website 5 days after the race.
(5) Runners who reach the finish line without bibs, or runners who cannot finish will not receive a trophy and record certification. In such, runners’ score and ranking will be voided.
(6) Please put the “lottery ticket” into the sweepstake before 07:00AM on Nov. 5th, 2017. Please ensure the lottery stub is kept. Winners must pick up their prizes before 12:00PM. According to the Income Tax Act of the Republic of China, any prize money or prize items valued at NT$20000 or above must be taxed at the following rate:
1. Ten percent (10%) will be applied to winners with valid domestic residency.
2. Twenty percent (20%) will be applied to winners without valid domestic residency and there are no limits to tax amount. Winners should go to the Lottery Award Area with their stub and ID card and fill in required information to pick up prizes. Prize claims after this time will not be available and prizes will be forfeited.
(7) The Organizer has rights to sell, display, and publish in films, photos, and records on the official website or in print publications anywhere in the world. Runners agree to release images rights and scores for such displaying or advertising activities.
